Official launching of Seychelles Fashion Week-Dubai

The Seychelles fashion Week-Dubai was officially Launched on the 16th March at Jubilee Stage, A total of four local designers and three international designers took part in the event alongside 18 Models from the Seychelles and Makeup and hair Artist AnnMarie Price.

Seychelles Fashion week-Dubai will now be held every year in the same period of the year in collaborations with Runway Dubai and other partners. That will eventually open doors local and international designers and models. The best local designers and models taking part in the Seychelles Fashion Week will be chosen for Dubai and eventually it will be open for other designers and models from across the world.

The Theme for this year’s was The Eden Fusion

SFWK-Dubai celebrates the Fashion industry in the Seychelles, where Seychelles designers, both Professionals /Amateurs would come together accompanied by new, young and aspiring Designers converging onto the Runway with International designers to showcase and exhibit their Collections in Seychelles. simultaneously facilitate the platform for local and international Models, and Trade Show promoting Seychellois Textiles, Apparels, Handicrafts, Accessories & SMEs in collaboration with local and international partners

Other primary of the objective of the event is to attract Fashion Tourism to Seychelles thus help to develop the aspect of Cultural Tourism for the seychelles as well.

The 5th edition of Seychelles Fashion Week®, (SFW®) will be held from the 26th September to 1st October 2022. The Launching of Seychelles Week-Dubai is thus part of the celebration, with the aim of hosting the event in Dubai every year from now on.

Designer from Seychelles: Juliette Zelime

Juliette Zelime also known as Jadez is an artist/designer by profession.

Jadez enjoys working with mix media, thus doesn’t limit her artworks to just one category or style nor associate her with any art genre. In 2012 she founded an apparel brand named KAJU SEYCHELLES with the motto “Living it the island way” a brand with an island soul.

Designer from Seychelles & Indonesia: Dwico & Nigel Henry

DWICO & NIGEL

a collaboration between Fashion Designer Dwi Iskandar from Indonesia and Painter Nigel Henri from the Seychelles. We will present elegant evening dresses both for male and female, combining the work of Nigel, using his beautiful paintings as motives and bringing in a touch of Indonesia from Dwi heritage, especially using sarongs as part of the male outfit.
